Torrents require a high bandwidth, at least 512 kbit/s for acceptable downloading speed. Cleaning your computer registry or junk files won't increase the speed of your downloads.
I recommend 2 Mbit/s connection, 1 GB of RAM, 120 GB of Hard drive with 2 Ghz processor.

also it might just be your computers memory. if this is the problem than find a memory upgrade
