I was wondering, what is the best antivirus program for Mac and does Advast! have any sort of antivirus program for Mac? Also is Lavasoft's Ad-aware available for Mac?

I know you don't need one, but what about if you run Windows on Mac then you will need one. So for that what should I use and read the rest of my question and if you can answer that it would be greatly appreciated.

you dont need an antivirus for Mac unless you share files via Network with windows users...
Norton antivurus for Mac , is not as good , u can run it but it wont find any viruses... cuz they dont bother 2 create viruses for mac there are not....
but if u really want to check on your mac go with ClamXav is a free Mac Antivirus. also read the page for more info..

Hmm I bought a Mac and am receiving it on Friday/Monday. My advice may not be extremely helpful, but yes I defiantly believe you should get some sort of virus protection. There are so many different products of virus protection... In my opinion, only a few of them are worth the trouble. I have not got the chance to see if CCleaner is for mac, but if it is I would recommend that. Also I would got to the app store and see the top downloads. I forget the name of the software, but I heard it was very good and that it was in the mac app store. So in conclusion: 1. CCleaner (if available)... I use it for internet and clearing some viruses of my PC. 2. Go to Mac App Store and check to see if there are any high rated virus protection softwares. 3. When I receive my mac, I will put some effort into it and will give you some suggestions if you still need some. If you found this helpful, could you please rate this as best answer? Thank you and feel free to ask me questions EDIT: I myself am a techy, but my friend who is older and more techier (not a word :P), says you usually won't need an antivirus software if you keep care of your machine.

Then you need Anti-virus for Windows, not for Mac.
Norton Internet Security is great.
McAfee Security Suite is great also.
Keep in mind that your Mac isn't running Windows as fast as a PC would and that even on the best of PCs an Anti-Virus program slows things down 10-20% on average.

So..
The first thing to do to speed up pc and get rid of malwares and viruses is cleaning the registry with a program like CCLeaner http://j.mp/UrAF38
I have been using it for years
Cheers ;)
