Tell your girl friend, you can not have to sons name michael
I think you have ttree choices
Mycah Christopher
Christopher Michael
Mitchell Christopher

I like all three names. See if you girl friend like any to the names. She might like Mycah or Mitchell, or come up with an name she likes

Bring the two micheals up in front of her mother. Any Mother will see the problem of having two child the same name

Yea, that would not be good. It would make Michael Lee feel like crap when he gets older. Think about it. If you would have had two boys by the same woman (current gf) would she name her two boys the same name? She needs to respect Micheal Lee and name her son something different. Christopher Michael is much better, but I would still give him a totally different name. These are both YOUR sons - your gf needs to realize that.

It would be weird to make his first name Michael (too George Formanesque for me), but Christopher Michael is all right.

Naming him Michael would be weird. I think Christopher Michael is a good compromise.

I would definately go for Christopher Michael. If you call it Michael your other son may feel as if he is being replaced by the new baby although if you use it as a middle name it wouldn't be so bad.

Plus I think Christopher Michael is Nicer :).

This is not okay as later, it will make Michael #1 feel TERRIBLE when he thinks about it.

It owuld only be acceptable if both boys had the sam mother and one or both went by their middle names. We grew up with a couple familiess where the daughters would have all the same first name (usually something religious) and then go by their middles.

Don't name two of your children Michael, that's weird.
Your girlfriend should respect that. Christopher Michael is great.

Yes, its weird, or you wouldn't even be asking. Give your children different names, they are two different people. I can understand if its a family name, but even then, pick a different respected member of the family to name your second child after. Do you want a life time of explanation after explanation for your children? If not, then be somewhat normal and give them different names.
