McGwire will eventually make it and so will Sosa and Bonds. The one guy I don't think ever will is Palmeiro. He was a fringe Hofer in the first place and then blatently lied to congress and called out a teammate (Tejada, one of the true good guys in the game.)

Don't believe the hype. No one (NO ONE) has been "found" to have used steroids. There have been allegations, and there have been suspensions (for PEDs, not steroids necessarily), but there's no proof (yet) that anyone used steroids illegally.
McGwire will make the Hall. A lot of writers, for whatever reason, thought it would make a difference if they didn't elect him on his first ballot. He'll go in next year. Sosa and Bonds will also be elected. McGwire used PEDs that were legal under baseball's rules at the time. History will look back at this period in baseball with one giant asterisk, and the sport will bear the shame and the doubt; individual players won't as much.

I like how alot of people dont think McGwire should be in the HOF, because of his congress testimony, but my question is Why was he even called to testify, when he was retired and everyone else that was also there to testify were active players? And why wasnt Bonds there? I dont believe that McGwire needed to be there and I dont look down upon him for his statements that he made, he retired so leave him alone. Turn the focus on the guys who are out there playing and using steroids not someone who had already retired. I believe that Mark will make the HOF but it might take a couple of tries. Rafeal is going to have one hell of a time though because of the fact that he was caught in a huge lie and its a shame because if you reach 3000 hits or 500 HR you should be an automatic Hall of Famer.

I think they all should make it. I think some should not make it just because their numbers are not good enough. But I am so sick of people talking about steroids that I hope Palmeiro, Sosa, Bonds, McGwire, Neifi Perez, Jason Grimsley, Jason Giambi, Ryan Franklin....I hope they all get into the Hall. I am so sick and tired of the nonesense. Let every player accused of roids in no matter what! I am just so sick of people thinking they can deny players over perceptions. Let the one's who got caught in too. It really doesn't matter anymore.

Raphael Palmeiro. He was built up as squeaky clean by the baseball writers. When he tested positive, they lashed back at him for making them look stupid. They are the ones with the votes for the hall. That's all she wrote.

Jose Canseco
Just a guess.
To the person below me. Thanks for making me laugh! The thought of Neifi Perez making it into the HOF..... The only place he deserves to go is into the HOS Hall of Shame, I mean he couldn't even hit good while taking some stimulant. How stupid does he look?

Sammy Sosa. Both he and McGwire were found to have used illegal steroids. Barry Bonds is next.
