Mine began with my second pregnancy at about the last month and I didn't worry too much about it because I was almost done. But I am now pregnant with my third and the varicosities began when I was about 2 1/2 months along. They are getting worse the bigger I get and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these particular varicosities, how bad they were, how the labor and delivery went and did they go away after you gave birth.

Yes, I had these with my third pregnancy and they got pretty big. In fact, one of the bulging veins went all the way back to near the rectum. They would really start aching and throbbing towards the end of the day, so I would put my feet up to help relieve it. My midwife also recommended Vitamin E caplets (taken orally) to improve vein strength.

The vulvar varices did not hamper my labor in any way and the swelling went down within a week postpartum.

I am 11 months postpartum now and I can barely feel them anymore.

All the best to you and baby!
