Is convincing people to join your cause or political party all in marketing?

I think that this is true. The Media knows how to target certain groups of people. The people who create advertising have studied marketing techniques which allow them to manipulate the public into thinking and doing what the clients of the advertisers want them too. Music and Sexuality are not the only ways that people can be convinced about something. Images which depict wealth and power also can sway someones point of view.
You have to be careful and mindful of what you do and make sure your motives are clear or you will get your self into trouble. If you study advertising methods or marketing it becomes easier to recognize the methods they use to sell you their product, weather it be an idea, point of view, or new cereal.

Almost any, yes. But they are not the only ways to market an idea. And what, prey tell, is wrong with music? For that matter, what is wrong with sexuality, although I understand sometimes things get a little tacky.

No.

I think it's wrong to be promiscuous, and my views make me dislike the song Promiscuous Girl, even though I like the way it sounds.

I love the show Family Guy, but I dislike their liberal views. The show does not change my mind.

I think drugs and prostitution should be legal, and all the governments anti commercials aren't changing my mind.

I'm sure you're thinking, How can I think promiscuity is wrong, but think prostitution is ok? Well, I don't think it's ok. I just think Freedom is important.

In America, many people have been brought up watching hours upon hours of television, which tends to weaken the critical faculty.
