These are all very secure encryption formats. However, you must be very careful not not lose your passwords, or your account password. If somehow you forget your account password, then attempt to gain access by creating a "new" account with the same name, but different password, the "old" account is not accessable. Each account has an individual security identifyer and when you can't access an account a newly created account with the same user name is actually different all together.

Also, choose one password for all of your files. This way you don't have a zillions passwords to try and remember. If you have your account password protected and one password for all your encrypted files and folders you should be fine. So many people forget their password. I see people at computer help groups asking for help in recovering passwords every single day. However, nobody at these groups will help with this because they have no way of being sure the person is actually the owner of said items.

Good luck and much success with which ever encryption program you choose to utilize. Have a great day!

As long as it is 512 bit encryption or greater, the average user will not be able to break it, assuming you use a strong key.

There is no way to stop the government from breaking it; A few hours at Fort George Meade could break through the "unbreakable" blowfish... considering that they have 1/4 of the worlds computing power... once they upgrade their power grid at least...

I agree with TalentedChimp on this one. But let me take a minute to blow the rumor that Blowfish is considered unbreakable. NO encryption is unbreakable.
