Not hardly. The Republicans have been using Osama as a bogeyman to justify attacking our Constitutional freedoms, squandering hundreds of billions of taxpayers money, the war on Iraq, etc.

A bogeyman i s no good if you actually catch him.

First of all, begin to imagine you are a poor livestock herder in Afghanistan. You have never had real money. You know that Osama is hiding in a neighboring farm. Do you honestly think they care about an extra $25 million? They are either fanatics who would never turn him in under any circumstances, or they are impoverished people who would GLADLY take $25 million. Can you picture a farmer thinking, "Ehh, 25 mill is not that much. I won't turn him in. But if it was 50 million I would." You can't, right? Increasing the reward is not the solution.

Bin Laden is no longer the issue. He is merely the symbol of terrorism. The terrorists in the trenches are the target. These people are so stupid the least of the mullahs could lead them into thinking there are 70 virgins waiting for them on the other side of the explosion. Small people with small lives, looking to be recognized are easily swayed.

Provide a link. Even though senators from both sides right now are jokes, the Democrats want to cut and run as soon as possible without taking the time to stabilize Iraq and gradually let Iraqi security forces take over.

EDIT: I assume you are desperate to blast Republicans, so you are making stuff up. You can't provide a link, so you are lying.

More nothing legislation? You don't think 25 million is enough and that 50 million will make all the difference in the world? jeez. I think they should pass a bill stating that the days of the week should no longer be spelled beginning with capital letters.

Two possibilities:

1) It's a democratic bill, duh. Both parties have a knee-jerk reaction to crticise anything the other party does.

2) All bills have riders, earmarks, amendments and other bits of sneaky legislation attactched to them, and they may disaprove of some of those, rather than the main thrust of the bill.

Could you provide the bill number so we could read it? There could be more to it than the snippet you claim.
