Moral dilemna?

Question

What is the best example of a moral dilemna that you can speculate.

This question is a measure of your creativity.

Whoever creates the best answer, gets the +10 (I will award it to who has the most "thumbs up" by day 3)

One which I wonder is if you are stranded on an island and have 1 gun and 1 bullet, and its just you and a close family member--what would you do.

My answer is use the gun on myself, but not before I club my wife over the head with a huge rock. (assuming you two are the last people alive on earth--hence no escape) and the life feasibly could support life.

A young German, circa 1944, is drafted into the Wehrmach. He's trained, then shipped off to the Eastern Front.

Along the way, Allied bombing attacks leave rail damage causing his unit to be diverted to a siding near Auchwitz. Because of the large number of diverted troop transports, the delayed units are forced to disembark to be fed in the mess halls for the camp guards.

The troops get a first-hand view of what their government is doing in the camps.

Eventually the rails are repaired and the troops arrive at the front. Attacks and counter-attacks allow all the troops a view of what the Soviets are doing to civilian populations left behind by the German retreat.

They see every female in areas overrun by Soviet troops gang raped. They see thousands of corpses of civilian men.

The young troops know if they retreat far enough, their own families will see similar behavior by Soviet troops.

So the young German is forced to decide whether to fight for a cause that includes Auchwitz, or to desert with the knowledge that widespread desertions will assure their mothers, lovers and sisters will be raped by Soviet troops.

If you are orphaned by an evil magician and brought up by horrible relatives that should be jailed for neglect and abuse. People try to kill you and your friends and do kill your godfather and the great wizard you idolized.
You get terrible stories made up about you that get printed in the papers and gossiped about. Then you get told some crap prophecy about how you must kill or be killed by the jerk that killed you parents in order to save the jerks who have been making your life hell.
Do you stand up and fight the jerk?
Do you run away and live fast and hard?
Do you kill the bastard then take over as a tyrant to teach the masses a lesson?
Do you come out of the closet to your best friend?

I would use the gun as an emergency weapon. Meanwhile I would hunt/fish, do whatever I had to in order to survive. Hopefully the family member would be able to help me in that endeavor.
