You can fix that problem like this. When you get to a page that you want to come back to later, and you're ready to select a link that will take you to another page, instead of left-clicking on the link, right-click on it and select Open in New Window from the pop-up list.

This is extremely handy for people who are still using Dial-up Connections, because they don't have to go back over web pages that they've already loaded up before. Sometimes, these webpages automatically RELOAD when you access them because their content might always be changing, but usually that is not the case when it's only been a few minutes.

Anyway, when you are ready to go back to the original page again, just kill the window you're in, or select it from the Start Bar.

Man, your browser(like Internet Explorer) is f'ed up then. Un-install the browser and go to the program files directory to delete the folder thats left behind by the browser. Then re-install the browser. If this doesn't fix the problem then do a system restore. If THAT doesn't work then try out a different browser like Firefox. And IF EVEN THAT doesn't work then the only choice would be to wipe your hard drive clean and start all over.

See if you can click and drag the toolbar to the next row down. Some times the toolbar is overlapping another one (another bill gates special) and just needs it's own room.

Right click anywhere on your browser toolbar and go to "customize" or go to view | toolbars | options and add the back arrow to your toolbar.
