Its a rock group, and they sound kinda old, like maybe in the 1990's.

In the chorus it has the word "angel".
thats all i know about it.
but if a song comes on, simialiar to that.
I just start singing it.
its weird.
but i don't know the song or band.

can anybody help me?

I'd go with 'lips of an angel' by hinder. It's kind of a popular song today, so radio stations would be playing it a lot. However it's new, so it doesn't really fit in to your 1990s thing. But ah well, that's my best guess.
