My little brother plans on keeping a snail at home. What is the most nutritious food for a common land snail? Especially for a healthy shell?

That's a great picture! I would assume their needs are similar to the African land snails that I keep. Their favourite diet is cucumber and romaine lettuce, but you can offer any veg or greens. As a calcium source for the shell I provide a cuttlebone (sold for pet birds) which the bigger snails chew on. For a small species you could also scrape some of the cuttlebone onto their greens.

fruits and vegies will provide calcium and protien for your snail. you can also feed him trailmix bits.
