Well for me I guess I can describe myself as a punk rocker chick with some what a Gothic vibe but I am still respected for who I am and I have friends who are prep and friends who are goths, most people don't think I'm weird because I'm a well rounded person, but those who do later change their mind that dressing the way I do is just a way of expressing. You should choose what you are more comfortable expressing your self as. You can dress prep and still be into Gothic styles or music or the other way around. I think people worry too much on if they dress Gothics people will think they're weird, they just have to break that hobbit, I have people respect me for who I am preppy or not it's a great feeling. It doesn't help when you refer to people as "weirdos" I can see where you stand, obviously! It isn't what's "better" but what's "comfortable" for you. In 20 years do you think any of this is going to matter? Back in highschool me and my friends felt like we were the most popular ones there (even though we weren't by conventional standards), because we were together and we loved hanging out with eachother. When I look back on my highschool experience (I graduated in 2003), I look back with fond memories and I can say I wasn't fake because I wasn't in with the "attention whores". "If you don't like my attitude, stop talking to me" lol, that was my attitude. Or "have a nice day....somewhere else". Be who you are. That's key, and don't take crap from anyone.

why do you think you have to have a label? prep, weirdo, Gothic whats up with all that. be yourself !!!! people will like you for whats on the inside not the outside. outside is seen first but the person on the inside is known forever. be kind, thoughtful, truthful and keep it real. if someone judges you by the way you look they don't deserve to be your friend or companion.

I've never been a gothic/weirdo person but i am a prep and popular so prep/popular. It is like so much funner to be a prep and popuar so yea. ~Kasey =)

how dumb, the preps and going to say being a prep is better and the goths/weirdos are going to say they are better, what you should do is try being yourself instead of being what other people want you to be? It can be tuff at times but it builds charter!

its not the fact of which is better, you should be the person you want to be. people who want to be gothic are gothic because that is who they want to be and the people who want to to popular and prep is becuase thats who they want to be. it shouldnt matter what is best and you should not be someone you are not be yourself and dont be ashamed about who you are, be the person who you are inside.
