Many people believe that being gay is a sin. Many people believe that being gay is a choice. I disagree. I did not choose to be gay and when I was younger I prayed and prayed and done all in my power to try and become straight but it didn't happen. I'm still gay and I chose to be straight and it didn't happen so, therefore, my conclusion is that it isn't a choice. It's how God meant for you to be so why would that be a sin? Gay people deserve their rights. It isn't like we are going around telling straight people that they better turn gay or they will go to Hell. If I asked a straight person right now to change their ways and love a person of the same sex they would be like "I can't because I love the opposite sex. It's just what attracts me." Well that is how the same sex is to gay people they are only attracted to the same sex they can't help it. It is just how they are. Please give me your thoughts. Thanks.

Of course - we are all God's children.
Only a bigoted hypocrite would say otherwise.

Yes, homosexuals can enter heaven, I have no doubt about it whatsoever. Jesus said you must love God with all your soul, and love your neighbor as you love yourself. That is the law and the commandments. I didn't say it, that's the Official Word from on high. If you are a Christian and there is something in your life that God wants you to change, He will find a way to get the point across to you. I've been there, so I know. Gay or straight, there's still right and wrong. But if put your trust in Jesus and do what He said and I quoted above, you'll be fine.

Respect yourself, respect others, love God, love others, and BE GOOD!

Peace

I agree with someone here, The old testament talks about homosexuals but the new testament, with jesus christ, he does not mention anything about homosexuals or anything at all. As long as you accept jesus christ in your heart and you ask for forgiveness and try to be a good human being then theres no reason why you wouldnt go to heaven. I mean when they ask me why should god let you in when I am gay, I tell them that if a murderer asks for forgiveness and gets in, why cant I? I havent killed anyone, I put my faith in him for 20 years (im 20years old) i believed him, why wouldnt he let me in?!
Someone people are just stuck on the old testament and dont bother reading the new one. Every religion pick and chooses what they want to believe or go by in the bible. I personally think that the bible is just a book you go to for suggestions. You dont have to do everything the bible says because it does say in the first testament that if someone works on the holy day which is sunday that they will be damned or something along those lines. Ya feel me?! I think the bible is just a book to read and theres suggestions and its like a guide.

This is one of the main problems I have with Christianity. I love Jesus but that is where it ends. I do not share the same views on homosexuality, for example. I agree, this is just how you are. Why would anyone CHOOSE to be gay? It isn't a very easy lifestyle!

Only God knows what will happen for sure. There is no sense in pretending to be something you are not. There is only one thing I'm sure of and it is that God loves you.

Actually...the Bible condemned homosexuality back in the Old Testament. I know that Christ was sent for the forgiveness of sins so that we would be able to repent of our sins without an animal sacrifice (meaning that Jesus was the ultimate Lamb of God). After accepting Christ as your saviour and being buried with him in baptism and risen to walk a new life the New Testament tells you to go and live your life and sin no more. Just because the Old Testament is "Old" doesn't mean that the sin is no longer a sin. The Bible also tells you to go and be fruitful and multiply the earth...another thing you can't do if your gay. I'm not condemning gays cause I know there is nothing I can do about it...but just doing my job as a Christian to spread the word of the Lord.

I think our concept of God and Heaven is simply someones best effort at explaining why we are here and what comes next. Don't get me wrong, I believe in a creator being and I am quite spiritual. The truth is though, we really don't know what the next phase will be like. All I can say is I do firmly believe that whatever comes next, there will be no hatred, bigotry, or isolation. I kind of doubt God spends his days thinking about our sexuality. I somehow think God is far more interested in the fact that we loved, not what gender we loved. Otherwise, we wouldn't be born into a natural state of heterosexuality or homosexuality.

If God is fair and compassionate, and truly loves us as individuals, he'll judge us for what we've done to try to make the lives of others and the world better than we found them. And of course, the only way to do this is to first love ourselves, and share that love with those around us. The gender of the person we love the most, and choose to spend our life and possibly eternity with, has absolutely nothing to do with whether we are a "good" or "bad" person, which is why I refuse to believe it could possibly override a lifetime of good deeds- despite what a collection of parables sponsored by long-dead religious/political leaders have to say on the matter.

Of course you can get into Heaven! That's what the New Testament is for. All of us non-Jews.

(That is, if your religion happens to be Christianity.)

Jesus said love each other. He didn't say love everyone EXCEPT gays. He never even mentioned being gay as a "problem".

I will give an unpopular answer.

.....per the Bible itself...if you are a Christian, which means you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and the Messiah that was prophecied, and that he died on the cross for our sins, and you repent from all your wicked ways (take that as you will)....... and you try your best to be like Christ, and try to spread the messages of Christ....... even a murder will enter the gates....BUT your belief has to be so strong and your love for GOD so mighty, that it burns like hot embers in the fire.....

Many will dissagree.....but that's what the Bible says....plain and simple.....

sorry if I peeved someone off with this...

And of course, that is if you believe in the God and the Bible and all of that......

Since there has never in the history of mankind been a person to come back from the dead and tell the world about heaven no one knows the answer to this question.

Of course you can.

Jesus said that to get into heaven you must follow the ten commandments and none of those say it is wrong to be gay.
So for a christian I say do what any other person would do gay or straight.

Danniel
