A horseshoe,
four leaf clovers,
a rabbits foot,
finding a penny that is heads up,
and any religious symbol.
Of course you have to believe in it for it to work.

Good evening Nancy :) I don't really have any particular songs, but I do find that the day 'flows' better if I have listened to something I like before work. BQ : They aren't lucky charms {though I do have a beautiful silver charm bracelet my mum bought me for my 21st ~ she got all the little charms individually, but I'm considering taking a couple off...}, but I carry a smoky quartz pendulum and a piece of sodalight. BQ2 : Only slightly, about certain things. BQ3 : Umm... nothing directly about those, but... 'I Plead Insanity' ~ Belinda Carlisle 'I Fought the Law' ~ The Clash {or Mary's Danish} 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' ~ The Beatles

My advice...

You'd rather have good luck charms that you can use everyday, not just on Friday the 13th. However, even the mystics believe that the stones are reliable.

If you are into zodiac, lucky charms and stones are assigned for each sun sign, i bet you know this.

With the case of charms or amulets to ward off evil and bad elements, the diamond is the best, of course it's too stiff to acquire. Be it diamond, crystals, metal or not, stones must be personally crafted for you. Stones must be worn touching your skin to radiate a positive aura into your consciousness.

The Chinese are reputed to be very superstitious in ALMOST EVERYTHING. From house design to room and furniture arrangements (feng shui) to attract positive forces and ward off the not so good ones.

Depending on your religion, charms and amulets are worn not necessarily for protection or luck but because of fashion and aesthetic sense.

You may start with your own birth stone, they're not that expensive as you might think, except the stone assigned to your birth is either diamond, ruby, opal or amber. Small or big in size it doesn't matter. They MUST TOUCH your skin. So have it handcrafted especially for you.

Believe it or not, but some people also use corals from the sea as amulets.

Anything that he finds special and personal. I have a keyring that has Baba Yaga (a witch) on it, and It's very special to me even though the chain broke. I used to whisper into it about something I wanted to happen. When I was in school, I used to whisper into it before we had gym saying: Please no football, I hate it so much. We still had to do football, but it turned out we had a supply and it was just a sit off lesson. It doesn't do what I ask, but it helps improve it. I don't know whether it is actually a charm, but it must have some of my physical energy attached to it because I always keep it close to me in my pocket.

Find a penny on the ground heads up is good luck.

But really, anything that makes him feel good is good luck. I have a couple of stones that are lucky for me--rose quartz and turquoise, and whenever I wear the two of them in a necklace, it's almost always a good day. I get lots of positive energy that comes to me.
