Of course there are, but you need an agent to help you find them. Before you go there, you need training and experience to get an agent. You also need to nail down your type. Sorta tall sorta short doesn't really say anything.

The first thing you need to do is learn your type, get into acting classes and get some experience. THEN if you want to find a legitimate agent to represent you for commercials, TV & film go to Sag.org. Use the dropdown menu on the right labeled 'resources' and choose 'agent information'. On the next screen, on the left choose 'Find a SAG franchised agent' and follow the directions. You can look up agents all over the US, but there are higher concentrations where the work is (Los Angeles, NY, IL, FL, GA etc.)

Then you can send them your headshot, resume, and a cover letter stating that you are seeking representation and wait to see if they call you in for an interview.

Once you have an agent, they will get you the auditions, but until then you can check out actorsaccess.com. You can also see if your state has a film alliance. Sometimes they post audition information for projects filming locally. For theatre, you can go to backstage.com or http://www.actorsequity.org/castingcall/... If you find the audition on the Equity site, you still may be able to go, as long as their not taking appointments from equity actor's only :-) On backstage.com you have to pay to get all of the info, but the initial search is free and you may be able to see enough info to find out the rest on your own without paying.

Remember that legitimate agents take 10% of your pay AFTER you get a job, nothing before. Anyone who asks for money up front is a fraud.

good luck

Can you act? Are you confident? Is your voice trained? Can you walk into a room full of critical people and recite information you just learned with feeling and make it believable? If no, then you're not ready at all.

I'm not trying to make you feel stupid, but you need a lot more than being tall and blonde in the quest to Hollywood. Just the fact that you've turned to Yahoo! Answers as your source shows that you haven't done any worthwhile research.

Read some books, do a few plays or acting classes, and see what you're made of before you try and get auditions. Besides, getting auditions for a TV show or movie come through good agents, not Average Joe on Yahoo.

Don't give up on your dreams just because it's hard or seems impossible, which it will at first. Keep going and see what happens :-). The more knowledge you get and the more people you meet, the more you will understand and the closer you will be to landing a role.

Good luck!

There are always auditions, every day, in every city in the United States. You need a Talent Agent or a Talent Manager if you want to auditon. You need a lot of acting experience to get an agent or manager.
