there's an equation somewhere, and other posters will have to find it for us.......I think from astronomer Fred Hoyle?---that says

take the number of stars in the universe
figure one in a million stars has planets
figure one in million of those planets could have life on it
figure one in a million of those planets that could have life actually has life.
figure one in a million that has life has intelligent life.

and the number of planets that have intelligent life, after dividing by a million all those times?

its something astonishing like tens of thousands!!

are their intelligent life forms out here?

You bet.

Will we ever make contact with them?

Stay Tuned!

First off, if they are alive then they're surviving on other planets. Second, with as large as the universe is and how many rocks floating about the place that we'd be the only living and moving things in the entire universe? They found bacteria, the simplist of life forms on Mars, right next door to us. That can only guarantee that more advanced life exists and is THRIVING elsewhere.

BV... to be honest you dont know that aliens arent real, and there is air on other planets.... just no oxygen. i would also like to point out all the species of bacteria there are that survive without oxygen.

putting that aside, i would say yes. one astronomer devised a formula for finding other life forms.

N = N* x P x S x O x I x C x F

N = the number of Intelligent societies in the milky way
N* = number of stars int he milky way
P = fraction of stars that have planets
S = average number of plents circling each star that can support life
O = fraction of such planets on which life has actually evolved
I = fraction of those planets on which the life is intelligent
C = fraction of those planets on which the intelligent beings have developed a means and desire for communication
F = fraction of a planets life that is occupied by such communicating civilizations

the astronomer that devised this formula (Frank Drake) himself calculated 4300 worlds with communicating civilizations. other astronomers have calculated as many as 530,000.

the only problem with detecting these beings is that dont know what part of the electromagnetic spectrum they use for communicating (radio/microwave/gamma radiation)

Certainly.

With over a billion systems in the galaxy alone, half of those being binary, toss those out.

If life formed on one in a million other worlds, that's 500 planets with life, just in our galaxy. There are millions of galaxies. Life is everywhere, just very, very far away, typically.

A few thousand years from now will be a very exciting time, as we all meet, and party. Wish I could be there, but anagathics and nanotechnology research isn't happening nearly fast enough.

But perhaps.

listen, tina there is no aliens present in whole universe. this is only a imagination done by some scientists after all scientists are human beings. according to "quran" the holy book of muslims say that allah has created only human beings and zinnat.so according to this there is no alliens.

Yes,bacteria were found living on Mars in liquid water 60 feet below the surface.
Also, the probability that we're alone in the entire universe is quite remote.

Yes,they do survive in the imaginations of humans, but till now there is no evidence about them or about any planet that has life in it.

Almost certainly. Our galaxy alone has 200 billion stars, and it's just one of billions of galaxies. Given such a vast universe, it seems almost inconcievable to me that Earth is the only place where life and intelligence exists.

To me, theres no way we are the only living creatures. ive read books, and they show pictures of forms that look a lot like "aliens." some crop circles, for instance, have wierd energy the messes up satilite in airplanes flying over them. i truly believe in aliens.

well they might be surviving in the other world (just because there no air in the other planets doest mean there nothing out there there no air under water but ther still living things under there.) so yea there MIGHT be deform creates out there.
