They get obsessed with "vice" by preaching against it so often. Like the old time preachers, and Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker.

First off, because someone does something like this does not mean the message is no longer valid. The particular person choosing these bad behaviors is at fault but it does not mean the message is.
You can point out exceptions all day long but that does not constitute or merit the total absolution of a thought, idea, value, or stance on a subject.
Hopefully the voters in Mr. Allen's district will vote him out of office. Where there is bad behavior or corruption it should be dealt with. A prime example is Democrat Rep. Jefferson of New Orleans who is being investigated for all kinds of issues. I do not know where this is at, but if he is convicted the Democrats should demand he be thrown out.
We should treat all sides with the same rules.

LOL, dear god, you're funny. The sheer hypocrisy from the GOP is frightening. The GOP apologists will point out Bill Clinton & Barney Frank's sins but they will never directly answer your question. Hey at least the Democrats never claim to be the party of God & pretend to be squeaky clean. The only values the GOPers hold, apparently have to do with making lots of money and having gay sex! :)

Because they are the party of responsibility, and supported by the "moral authority" which holds the idea that it is only immoral if a reporter finds out.

It's not just GOPers who do of course, but it's especially annoying because they claim to be so high and mighty and then have the same problems anyone else can have.

Are you a Dem? Do you think that being gay is illegal? Are you not for same sex marriage? Are you taking inconsistent views?
