Agree, but I'm not sure he was ever 'in touch' with reality.

Not sure if that is a question or a statement, but I do agree that the American public has lost touch with reality whenever they think that politicians are going to be everything they thought they were for or against. Bush, just like Clinton, is a moderate and things do not change much. libs/conser/ righties/ lefties always believe they control politicial dialogue because they make the most noise. In fact, they X each other out at the polls and moderates are elected by moderate voters. Millions of Dems voted Bush in twice because Dem candidates were too wacky. Bush is doing what he says he was going to do and you should not be surprised. You remember that the Dem majority in Congress voted for this war numerous times, don't you? He has not waivered in his resolve and that is unusual for a politician.

Disagree...the Liberal Loons are the only people who have lost touch with reality, if they ever had it. Reality is that you can not throw money at the poor thinking that they will have an epitome and rise from poverty just like pulling out of the War would make the terrorists go away. The problem is here, now, we must do something about it.

I think that would be true for almost any country, save for a few such as the Soviet Union or Maoist China where the state religion was Atheism.

Yes, I just listened to Barack Obama's statements on the Iraq report, and he was dead on when he said, " I would like to see all of us, Republicans and Democrats, find a way to move forward and find the best way to put an ending to this war, however, the Bush administration's inability to deal with the reality in Iraq is undermining any chance of coming up with a real strategy." I couldn't have said it better myself.

The only reality GWB knows is found at the bottom of a bottle of Jim Beam. Mr. Bush took leave of his senses when he found Jayzus and quit boozing.

He has lost touch over the past year or so. Especially after the immigration debacle.
However, most of the democratic side has been out of touch for over 30 years.

Bush is like Forrest Gump. He lives in a world of his own and he creates his own reality. There is Bush's world and there is the real world - never the twain shall meet.
