I do not have any experience in the Bay Area, however I believe even if someone tells you they like a certain agency it depends more on your personal rapport with an agent not someone else's.

Ask your actor friends or your acting teacher. The best place to get information on Talent Agencies is from actors that live and work in San Francisco.

Either the Sunset or the Richmond District. They're really near a beach called the Ocean Beach. It's really great there. and richmond is near the Golden Gate Bridge. It only takes you about 10-15 minutes to get there if you're driving or 15-20 minutes if you're taking a bus to get there.

It depends what your focus is going to be--stage, commercial, film, TV, industrial, voiceover, etc.
Tonry does a lot of work with commercial, voiceover, industrials, and lots of non-union work.
