log(sub)1/3 9 = x
means
9 = (1/3)^x

so....
9 = 3^2 = (1/3)^(-2)

So...
(1/3)^(-2) = (1/3)^x

-2 = x

log_⅓ 9 = N
The log of a number is the Power (N) which is put on the base(⅓) to give the number (9).

log_⅓ 9 = N
9 = (⅓)ⁿ
3² = (⅓)ⁿ
1/3-² = (⅓)ⁿ
(⅓)-² = (⅓)ⁿ
→ n = -2

log_⅓ 9 = N
log_⅓ 9 = -2
