I would buy the kids each their own disposable camera, they will be more excited because its the photo's they took.
Stickers and stamps would be good for that age group.
I would have them do their own journaling, because at this age their handwriting can change so much. Imagining pulling these scrapbooks out when they are in their 30's and letting them see their own handwriting!!
I would recommend 8 1/2 by 11 papers...12 x 12 papers would be too big for them to fill up.
I think you should make each of them a about the author page as the last page. Put their school picture on it and fill out things like. Favorite color, age, grade, favorite food, favorite tv show. You can put one of these about the authors pages in the back. HOW CUTE =) good luck

well scrapbooking is a creative photo album. The best thing to do is get your kids a disposable camera and plan a few trips out. Take tonnes of photo's, collect any leaflets, bus tickets, tickets for where ever you've been, etc... and work from that. Also you can buy paper, embellishments etc... to fit in with the activity to in the photo e.g if you go fishing....papers with fish, fishing rods etc...

"Rather than instruct your children on using your nice papers and stickers, Guenther says, purchase less expensive supplies—or print out paper and clip art from your computer—and let kids use them however they wish. Get doubles when you have film developed and give the extras to your children."
Lots of fun things you could print on here

Just seeing how many homemade trims you can make from old greeting cards, magazine pages, wrapping paper and so on. Then using those trims along with your photos, to build beautiful, unique pages.
