who can exlpain to me what compelles a girl to be promiscuous?

Is it thier lack of love? or perhaps they had traumatizing expierience with sex and seek comfort so they go from guy to guy seeking that comfort? i dont mean to offend any one out there but its just a question that lingers in my mind.

It could be many things, lack of confidence, wanting to be "needed"........or just liking sex ?? What makes men that way ?

For myself, I have a lot of sex and I do have different partners, both male and female, but I don't generally go looking for a different partner every night. If a girl or a woman does that, I tend to think she really does enjoy sex but is also afraid of any form of intimacy beyond the passing moment. No double standard here; I say the same thing for men. I tend to keep the same partners all the time, and we have an understanding. I prefer this because it is safe and opens the door to affection and a more intimate good time. Run around too much, you could ned up in the wrong place.

What about the double standard? If a girl sleeps with a lot of guys, she's promiscuous. But when a guy sleeps around he's The Man. But they do say that a woman tends to try to find men who most resemble their father. If the father is absent then the girl has no one to set the standard as a male influence.

Really promiscuous is just pretty much just a new way of calling someone highly flirtatious, i'd like to quote from a song no to be weird of anything but it helps with the reference, "...Promiscous girl, teasin' me, i know what you want, and i got what you need..." Basicly being promiscuous means that you DO enjoy sexuality and sometimes you feel like trying new things such as different people or just experimentation in general. No one can deny that they'd like to try being pleased by more than one person, it's just something everyone enjoys. Most people just portray it too dramaticly calling people whorish or sluttish due to their sexual appetite, some people have a much larger hormone rate than others and they would like to be pleased more, hense the open relationship.

I don't think there is just one answer to your questions: It differs on a case by case bases. Some girls are "looking for love in all the wrong places" some are try to escape a terrible home life, while others probably just like the "high" that sex gives them. ; ) just like with any thing that can take you away from your problems for awhile it can be addictive. however it would also depend on your definition of promiscuous.

Believe it or not, sex is pleasurable for women, not just for men.


The only reason women get tarred with labels like "whore" and "promiscuous" is a double standard, dating back to when women were property.


We have multiple sexual partners for the same reason men do: sex is a healthy, fun part of life (when done safely).

lets face it, there are tons of reasons and it can vary from girl to girl, if a woman finds it desirable to have 4 penises in her vaginal area at the same time, then thats her thing, if you cant love it, then you are defined as normal, if you can, then you are a very open and caring person, at which point you should either grab a camera, or get naked and join in, or both.

so like i said, my answear is what all of these fine people said (yes, sometimes booze is a factor).
