Betty Williams, who won the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE in 1977, recently said at a speech:

"Right now, I would love to kill George Bush."

Why is no one calling for her prize to be stripped? In my opinion, anyone threatening to kill another should not have a Nobel PEACE prize, right?

Or is OK, because it's Bush? Well?

She said it again, this time at a "peace" conference!!! (this is the one I was looking for):

This woman is just a moron, pure and simple. She should have been kicked off the stage. Making threats on another's life at a peace conference!!!

No, liberals have not forgotten what “peace” means. Her remarks were wrong but Bush and his policies could drive even a saint to rage.

To liberals, equal opportunity as they see it can only be achieved by taxing the death of out of businesses. When a lib looks at any successful big business, he doesnt see people that are hard-working, self-sacrificing that took many risks to start it, just trying to be successful at what they do. No. They see corruption, evil, indifference, oppression that needs to be taxed into submission in order to bring about good for everyone to equal the ill-will or indifference they have toward their community, consumer, and especially the poor. Equal opportunity may entail many things but one thing it should never be, is trying to empower the unsuccessful, by punishing the successfull.

Liberals are a strange bunch to understand. Not to be mistaken for Democrats (whom I often agree with but can repsect for their abillity to make a clear and well thought out point without using rhetoric, slurs or hate) or NeoDems (the socialists), these are the young, impressionable minds that either

A. Get completely inundated in the public education system
B. Never fully grasp the difference between fantasy and reality (in relation to the conditions of the world we live in)
C. Fail to mature.
or
D. A mix of all of the above.

I think that one of the most disgusting and revolting habits that these Libs have is their ability to make off the wall remarks about America, Americans and our culture while actually believing that they are "above" the rest. Take for example a question I saw on here yesterday, someone asked what three words could be used to best descripe Americans. Libs were spewing nothing but hate "Fat" "lazy" "Warmongers" "Spoiled" etc. While Cons, Reps and Dems were saying stuff like "Patriotic" "Free" "Religious" and "Charitable"

These libs hate America so much they can't help but not see the hypocrisy in their actions. They are so blinded by malcontent for President Bush that their eyes see nothing but evil, hate and lust. With these being the only things in their sight, how can we expect them to behave in an opposing manner? I don't think we can!

Regardless of what this woman said, today's liberals have no idea what peace means. Most think peace is the absence of conflict. This is not true. Peace is the absence of threat.

If there is no current conflict but the enemy is amassing you really are not at peace you are between conflicts. Eliminate the enemies by befriending them, killing them, or removing their ability to threaten you and then you will have peace.

The responses here from liberals is typical. They attack you but I see precious few disavowing what the woman said. I have had a few liberals here on YA try to hang white supremacists around conservatives' necks. I always come right out and disavow anything these white supremacists say. They do not speak for conservatives and they are not part of the conservative movement. They are radical extremists just like any other radical extremists. There is nothing extreme about conservatism.

"Why is no one calling for her prize to be stripped? "

You do know that the Nobel prize is Swedish...right? Americans have no say in who gets the prize, let alone who should be stripped of the prize. So really your opinion is as irrelevant as mine, unless maybe you are Swedish.

Edit: Opps the peace prize is actually Norwegian, not Swedish like the other prizes. http://nobelprize.org/nomination/peace/process.html

Yep and Ann Coulter makes a comment about Bill Maher wishing Cheney would get killed by terrorists and the cowardly Liberals try to crucify her.

I think when they engage in these attacks and use the language of hate, it's very important to stand up," Edwards said. "What happens if you are silent when this kind of hateful language is used — not just by her, but by anyone — hate gets a foothold."

Hypocrisy they name is Liberal!

No, not really. Liberals just made up a new definition for the word Peace. From the mind of a Liberal. "Peace: Live with terrorism, cry when your innocent countrymen and women die, but don't fight back, or try to stop it."

Bush hatred is the norm in the media and among liberals. It isnt something to be commended in their minds, its something to be celebrated. Woe is the world!

Its sad to see that President Bush's gross inadaquacy has brought even the most peaceful people we know to hate him so much, completely understandable, but sad nonetheless.

The quoted statement is almost as dumb as this question. So tired of the generalizations that constantly go on here. One person makes a statement, and it's "Did Liberals forget what the word "peace" means??" Go buy a clue please.
