We have to wear space suits when we go to Mars, why isn't everything else on Mars floating around?

I'm sorry, but you are not very well informed. A space-suit is to give an artificial atmosphere, and has nothing at all to do with gravity.

There IS gravity in space, and is caused by mass. Any mass has gravity - the moon and mars both have gravity proportional to their mass.., A spacesuit does not keep you on the surface, but gravity does...

There IS gravity in space. It is gravity from the Sun that keeps all the planets orbiting near the Sun instead of just drifting away into the cold, dark depths of empty space. Mars has gravity just like Earth does. The space suits are needed because the air on Mars is WAY too thin to support human life. And it has no oxygen. But all that has nothing at all to do with gravity.

Between the Earth and Mars is a lot of empty space where things float around because they are not under the influence of either planet's gravity.

However, Mars does have gravity "similar" to Earth's gravity. As a result, when you drop something on Mars, it falls down, just like on Earth. And, on Mars, were you to jump up, you would also come back down fairly quick - not float around and drift off somewhere.

Because Mars is a planet. It is very large and has a very large mass (1/3 of Earth's). And since everything that has mass has gravity, Mars does have gravity and keeps the rocks from floating away by pulling them down.

I really don't get ur point about the space suit deal but whatever.
Um, the rocks are held down by Mars' gravity, like you are held down by Earths. And FYI, space does have gravity, every inch, there is just not a noticable amount...

For the same reason rocks on Earth aren't floating around. Mars is a planet, just like Earth, it has gravity.

It is the gravitational pull of the planet that holds everything to the surface. There is actually all kinds of "gravity" in space. Space does not have an atmosphere. The space suits astronauts wear supply them with the "atmosphere" they need to survive.

No oxygen/air is not the same as no gravity. There is gravity in space, as there is between any two bodies. There's gravity between you and your computer, although it's too small for you to notice.

There is air on mars, but no oxygen (plus it's too cold for humans to survive without suits).

Mars is smaller than erath and therefore has less gravity. Gravity is still present, but you are a lot lighter. If I was 150 lbs. on earth, i wouuld be like 50 or so lbs. on mars.

Mars has it's own gravity. There no region in space that not affected by gravity.
