Why not include adultery? Why should adultery be considered wrong in this day of age. After all, it's the 21st century we should accept that almost everyone has an affair at sometime. Right?

I don't think there will ever be a time when homosexuals are completely accepted. Just as blacks aren't accepted by everyone, a lot of people are racist against muslims now, there are still people in the world who are against Jewish people. It will alway be that way, and the best thing any of us can do is try to spread tolerance to those people who can't see the real person inside the body.
I don't know why I got a thumbs down for that. I wasn't saying anything against anyone, and what I said is true. There will always be intolerant and racist people in the world. So whatever.

Your question conflates the issues of "theonomy" and "morality." In other words, there's a difference between the laws of a country and moral guidelines for individuals.
We no longer follow the Mosaic law of stoning -- however we still condemn murder and exercise capital punishment.
We no longer abstain from eating shellfish, however we do still condemn adultery.
We may not own slaves (which was a very different thing in the Old Testament times from our modern concept of slavery) but we still must condemn homosexual behavior because just like murder or adultery it is against the moral code that we hold to.

Gays can be hardworking, and honest friendly people. That's not the issue. The issue is that homosexuals are STILL listed in the NT as people who will NOT inherit the Kingdom Of God, along with other non repentant sin, such as fornication, thief's idolaters... etc.
"Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God." (I CORINTHIANS 6:9-11).
There's a risk in not making clear the stand the bible takes in this regard... failure to do so, can result in a lost soul. I don't want to be answerable to God for that.
The other things you mentioned were done away with when other laws and statutes came into play... the perspective and result on homosexual behaviour wasn't.
We are not to hate or feel above anyone else we all sin, BUT we are to be honest and level with people, for their soul's sake..
The mention of it twice is a HUGE issue because of the context it is mentioned. The lack of frequent mention doesn't make God's perspective on it different, particularily when the behavior keeps someone out of heaven. All I need is to read that ONCE, for me to take it very seriously.
Have a good day:)

Good point, but there are some things you didn't take into consideration. There are still many churches that have indeed not granted equal rights to women. they are not allowed to be ordained in those churches and in many cases not allowed to accept leadership roles. In at least one branch in the US women are still considered to be their husbands "help mates".
We may have progressed somewhat from the dark ages, but there are still a lot of people who could use some light.

We don't do these things because of the Bible. European and Mideastern history was directed by Jewish and Christian religions. Most of the things you talk about were started by pagan religions that the Jewish and Christian religions replaced. Stoning was a humane replacement for torturing someone to death or driving them out into the desert to die of thirst. Even Jesus mentioned that laws adapt as people are more ready to accept them. "you were not ready for wine, so I gave you milk". Basic morality never changes but our acceptance of others does. The Bible is not about intolerance but about understanding.

I am a christian. I have lesbian and gay friends. I am also not married, i live with my boyfriend and we have 2 children, so the life I am living is equal to that of a homosexual as far as sin goes.
God is the only one with any right to judge anyone...not me , you, him, or her.
The greatest thing you will ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return.

I respect the person, but that doesn't mean I have to respect the lifestyle. Nothing physical can come from having a same-sex partner. He/he or she/she can not produce children.
Scenario: If all the people in the world turned gay and all stayed non-adulterous to their partner, how would the human race keep existing?

The bible says its not right to be gay.
But it ALSO says you need to treat EVERYONE with respect no matter what.
That's exactly what my family and me do.
We don't agree with that, but it's not up to me to change that person.
That's between God and them.
By the way the bible says you never treat women badly.
Men and Women are to be treated equally.
Can you explain the men that still abuse the wives or girlfriends today?

The question is, how do you think that giving equal rights to women, allowing women to be ministers, allowing gay marriage,etc....is considered "moving forward"? This is really the result of the cultural decay and moral decline in our society. "Equal rights" for women isn't really equal rights, it's just giving women the ability to imitate men, and by doing so they are actually degrading women by saying that traditional female roles are inferior to male ones. Instead we are supposed to pretend that race and sex doesn't exist, that women are as strong and intelligent as men, and that men are as equally suited as women in raising children, which of course isn't true. Men and women are equal, it's just that they have different roles that they are suited for and should be performing. We are also seeing glorification of gays all over movies and tv shows, portraying gays as having "better style" and being more open minded and intelligent. We are seeing men being feminized and women being turned into men. What you need to understand is that there is a planned agenda behind all of this, and the purpose is for our country to destroy itself from within.
