Okay I know it's a silly question but it's driving me up a wall (It's a love letter.) It doesn't have to be for Michigan, I'm sure that it's about the same everywhere in the US. Any ideas anyone?

Most probably the next day. As per US postal norms, it takes one day for letter within 60 miles, 2 days for within 600 miles and 3 days beyond that.
It also depends upon the time (morning or evening) for dropping the letter in mail box. The morning letter will certainly be delivered next day. The letter dropped in the afternoon may not reach the next day.

It doesn't take long to mail a letter at all. Just find a mail box and drop it in. It will probably arrive the next day. Or, since it's in the same city, why don't you hand deliver it and it will arrive the same day.

They will most likely receive your letter the next day if you make sure to mail the letter before 5pm (or whenever the last pickup is for that mailbox- which it should say on the mailbox). I've found that USPS is pretty fast these days - when my friends mail me letters from California I receive them in Boston the very next day.

How long does it take to mail a letter? This depends a lot on how far you live from a mailbox. Did you want to know how long it would take to get to it's destination? My experience with in-state mail has been about 2 days.

It will probably take a couple of days because it still has to go through the mail system and put into re-distribution. You could just drop it in her box when you know she is sleep or hasn't checked it yet that day.

If its the same city usually the person will get it the next day. It takes the day that you turn it in to be proccessed and then delivered the next day.

It depends. I've had stuff be there the next day, other times, the next week - and it was only going across town.
