I would think that visiting Chicago period would be exciting enough. I know two German guys who came here for the World Cup a few years back and stayed for almost half a year and they were happy just to walk around and then sit in the bar and talk to people. They once walked into Soldier Field without anyone stopping them and pretended they were playing soccer in the snow before they were thrown out.

That being said, take them to navy Pier, buckingham fountain, the Belmont/Clark street area, maybe a baseball game at Wrigley Field, the museum of Science and Industry, the Oak Street Beach... let them look at a copy of Time Out Chicago or The Reader and see if there are any rock/punk bands in town they would like to see. Places like The Metro and The Abby Pub have all ages shows a lot of the times.

If you like shopping go to State Street and you'll find Macys, Old Navy and more..

Teens seem to love Navy Pier..you can shop, eat, ride the ferris wheel, and take a lake cruise on one of the tour boats.

You can go to the beach, Oak Street Beach is one of the popular beaches.

Or go to the zoo, Lincoln Park Zoo is free.

Or the Art Institute, and after that walk through nearby Millennium Park.

I live in Chicago, and when my two teenage nieces came to visit all I had to do is take them shopping on Michigan Ave.. Apparently, that seems to be paradise for young women, and nothing much else was needed. But, also add a visit to Navy Pier and Millennium Park.

I think NYC is good place to start. Also many foreigners seemed to be impressed w/ Orlando because of all the amusement parks. LA, Chicago, Miami, Seattle, Washington DC are all also good places to visit. If the want a more outdoors type experience, go to Denver and see the Rockies. I would normally say Vegas too but it is kind of limiting for teens as most fun things there are for 21 and over

First, the ladies from Germany have seen and heard a lot about the US, so ask them what they'd like to see and do. Then ask them what kinds of things they do at home and try to find somewhat similar things around where they will be visiting. Finally, take them some places where you like to go and do things you like to do. They are coming half way around the world to find new experiences. Help them find them.

That depends on what part of the US you're going to be in. It's a big country after all.
