Just seen on the TV (UK) that the response the Beckhams received from the Americans was compared to the Beatles trip to the country. He's a star in this country but has America gone as wild as the said ??????

Most people do not even know who they are, I think it is all hype being perpetuated by their PR people trying to get people to care, so they can milk as much publicity as possible out of their arrival. Soccer will never be as popular here in America,no matter who they recruit to play it. As for as his wife goes, she is one sour looking mannequin, she constantly looks like she has a stick up her ***. comparing them to the greatness of the Beatles is absurd.

the game is thoroughly distinctive in recent times, would Bobby Moore have the skill to maintain up with at present's speed of the game and nevertheless have the skill to thread a checklist of as many caps as David Beckham has presently completed to tournament this checklist? ultimately i think of not. That suggested, I agree that for a countrywide squad call up cap to count number you should play extra effective than a million/2 of the game... and in case you employ that good judgment then is Beckham's checklist as stable? particularly in all probability NO that is not. Wayne Rooney - thug that he's, seem at Fulham 2 weeks in the past as an occasion... yet positively a experienced footballer, seem at previous England video games such as a results of fact the recent friendly at Wembley, as an more suitable option occasion - ought to dwarf Beckham/Moore's modern checklist of 109 as a results of fact age is on his area. there's a possibility he ought to even beat Peter Shilton's (all time?) checklist of one hundred twenty five caps.

No we (Americans)have not gotten that riled up about the Beckhams. the only people that are excited about their arrival has been the paparazzi and Hollywood. Truthfully we(americans) don't care about soccer players that much over here. trust me no adoring fans were waiting at the airport for this couple. They are a beautiful couple , but they aren't the Beatles.

they sure must have spent some money on the publicity front!!
Give VB a few months when it all dies down and she'll be back in the uk again because the publicity won't be happening.
They will never be as big as the Beatles....nothing compares to them.
