The best answer I can give is this advice -- stop watching so much television.

I'm not being rude or snippy. Though there are a few television programs that I like because they're well written [and because, as a writer, I need to stay abreast of changes/trends in writing styles], most of what's out there is just dreck. Think of what you could be accomplishing during the 30 or 60 minutes that program is on the air. And as for reality shows, don't get me started.

I guess because I've worked with a few celebrities, I'm not as dazzled by them as people who have never met them. So I don't understand people spending their precious time being concerned with the lives and affairs of "stars," especially since those stars aren't returning the favor.

Although it is exciting for me that a ballroom show got very popular, I tend to follow the participation of the professional dancers a lot more. I get all the "Stars" mixed up.
