My Mother used to say "You can do anything, Junior" - and when I did, no matter what it was, for as long as she lived, she would say "Oh do you really think that's a good idea" and go through all the potential disasters. I learned to expect and largely ignore it - and that made me proof against other's psychoses - but it always jagged a little. It also made me prone to charge at every possibility in sight and do too many things at once. Interesting, but wearing - and I always thought there must be something else I could do. Similarly my Father used to greet every plan I proposed with "Do you think there could be a better way?". It taught me plan critically - but also not to proscastinate as he did, dear feller. But it did always aggravate me a little - probably because I'm lazy and reckon every decision is only worth a particular amount of time, but could never dismiss the idea that there had to be a better way!

Assume I was some sort of horrible drug addict because I was a hippie. None of my family even sent me a card of congratulations when I graduated from the University of Michigan with honors and I sent them announcements. Perhaps they assumed I wanted a gift, but I would have been happy to get a card.

Well, after the good times came the bad times. Every day there was arguing and people not getting along. Wish the good times had stayed.

Used to do??? It's what she does now. She tells me I am her best friend, but leaves me out of EVERYTHING in her life. She used to tell me everything until she made new friends. Now, I hardly get calls from her, or know anything that is going on in her life. That's not my idea of a best friend.

Sometimes everything that my mother does upsets me. It's not like I hate her or something....it's just that she has this habit of never listening to me and it drives my crazy! lol

My Dad on the other hand tries to tell me how to drive and live my life. You can't win at my house.

Pick on my poor ears.

You can make fun of my nose
You can step on my toes
You can laugh at my face
You can call me a nut case
You can play with my hair
You can giggle if I'm bare
Tease me for my fears
But don't pick on my ears!

Lies - Lies and more lies.
My partners daughter (my step daughter) lies continuously about anything and everything.

Worst part is her lies get her in more trouble ... we are the ones usually having to bail her out of situations ... I am sick of it - she is 30, has 3 girls age 2,8 and 10 - she needs to grow up.

We can't trust her at all and that's sad ...
