On your first day of school teachers usually say what you will require for class. Not all teachers like students using the same brands/types of notebooks, so you may have to wait to get most of your supplies. Just remember on your first day to bring in loose leaf paper and some number 2 pencils.
Good luck with high school!

Great question! Entering high school can be overwhelming because you're used to getting a "supply list" at the beginning of the year... in high school, the teachers let you figure it out on your own. I will be a senior in August, so I've had a few years to figure it out.
-PLENTY of pencils and pens. Blue and black are the basics, but some teachers will let you use colored pens sometimes. Also, make sure you have some red pens as many teachers will have you do peer editing in class.
-Highlighters and a permanent marker.
-Pink erasers, if you ever use them. They're not a necessity, but they're helpful.
-Many times social studies teachers will have you do maps, and you'll need colored pencils.
-A basic scientific calculator. Nothing too fancy, yet. Usually you'll need a graphing calculator for Algebra II, but I'm assuming you won't be taking that course as a freshman.
-Notebooks, folders, 3-ring binders, and loose-leaf paper, college ruled. Have a separate notebook, folder, and binder for each class. It really helps with organization. And when you buy your school supplies, buy at least 10 packs of paper. Trust me, you'll need it throughout the year!
-A pocket dictionary is always helpful. And if you're taking a foreign language, I suggest getting a foreign language dictionary. For example, French to English, Spanish to English. You never know when you'll get stuck on a word and won't have someone to help you.
-Notecards are something great to have. Sometimes your teacher will require you to use them for a speech or paper, and they're great for making flashcards.
-White-out is a must!
That's all I can think of right now, but those are the basics. If you need anything special for a certain class, your teacher will tell you and will usually give you a few days to get it. Good luck! Hope you have fun! High school is a wonderful experience!

on the first day of school, your teachers will most likely give you a syllabus with everything you need written on it.
ceratin teachers want certain things.
i recommend buying a binder for each subject and a couple of notebooks. you dont usually need to buy that many notebooks bc/ some teachers prefer you to do work just on scratch paper bc/ they like to collect work.
definetly buy tons of binder dividers, college ruled paper, and black/blue pens.
also make sure to buy ink pens that come in a bunch of different colors that really help with boring notes
hope this helps! it has served me well! :)

Basically you will need notebooks, binders, paper, pens and pencils ("The Basics")....but on the first day of school you will only need a notebook and a pen or pencil...and the teachers will tell what you need for their classes....
I wish you the best of luck in 9th grade...I was the same way my Freshman year (last year)...
