Dan the man, you're a real pain in my ***. Learn how to spell. And you should get over it, because the Mets are winning that division by at least 5 games.

I see the Mets getting Dye. According to Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune, the Mets have interest in White Sox right fielder Jermaine Dye.
As far as more effective available relievers, Peter Gammons rattled off the usual names in a recent blog entry (Akinori Otsuka, Eric Gagne, Octavio Dotel, Salomon Torres, Brad Lidge, Dan Wheeler, and Chad Qualls).

It will surely be someone from the NL East if it isn't the Yankees. The Mets, Braves, and Phillies all have a shot at the playoffs. True, I am a Phillies fan, but I don't see the Mets losing the division, so Atlanta and Philly will battle for the wild-card with a bunch of other teams. Whoever can land a quality starter will have the edge, but the market is so thin, and with a guy like Dontrelle Willis probably not going to another NL East team unless the Marlins are foolish, the three NL East teams may have to go at it with what they have.

if the phillies do something with their bull pen which would mean spending money, and the phillies don't do that so that rules them out so if the Reds trade Ken jr, then that would probably be pretty big. also Dan the man is right about the mets needing a pitcher though, i mean im not saying hes right about the Phillies or the Braves taking the Nl east well not with the crappy bull pen we have even though i think who ever gets it it will be close.i mean Tommy Glavine Orlando Hernadez, and sosa(well not really sosa but) are getting old, and John Maine cannot carry that whole staff and Oliver isn't anything to scream about, but i cannot wait until AUG!!

I think that the Mets and ChiSox will make a blockbuster deal involving Jose Contreras and Jermaine Dye going to the Mets for a bunch of hot prospects.

To dan the man: ha ha Mark Buehrle is still with the Sox, so get over it.
i don't want to sound redundant, but i do agree with other people that Ken Griffey Jr. would be the biggest trade.

I think the Reds will trade either Griffey or Dunn.
I think the Yankees will make a move for a home run hitting first baseman.
I think the Marlins will move Willis.
With Buhrle signed, I think one of those three teams will make the biggest trade.

I really think the Yankees.
The Yankees might trade these following players for some pitching :
Bobby Abreu
Johnny Damon
Jason Giambi
I'm not saying they will be tradeed, but I think the Yankees will make some deal that will be the biggest trade by the deadline.

The reds are expected to trade either Adam Dunn, or Ken Griffey Jr. If they do, I think that will be the biggest trade

Ken Griffey, Adam Dunn, and Mark Teixeira are all big names that are being thrown around. Supposedly the Cardinals are also shopping Scott Rolen around. He has declining power numbers since his shoulder injury, but is still one of the best defensive 3rd baseman in the game.
