As long as we have the ability to perpetuate life and existence (I'm not referring to the natural process of birth) through our contribution, we are a significant side of this structure. The ocean is made of drops of water after all.
Maybe in certain stages of life, you may feel like being a simple drop is not enough because there are hundreds, thousands, billions just like you. But we need to become aware of the fact that we're the base of this structure and the base has the function of unity.

I think we all have a piece of the puzzle and the world is worse off for not realizing that. We are also a part of the problem. The subconscious thoughts aren't much better than anyone else, we may know how to control it to an extant. Not everyone can affect their programming very much. It's hard. If we all put our minds together, think what we could do. One piece missing from a computer program, though, can make it crash. To mix metaphores, if we don't oil the squeeky wheel the wagon will stop eventually. Love is oil and wisdom gets it where and how it needs to be.

Everyone is, the tower of Babylon fell. We all can from the same place and will return there. Races, color, and languages mean nothing in the eyes of God. He scattered us to see if we could live without judging.Like Bob Marley said in Exodus "We know where we are going and where we're from. We live in Babylon and we're going to our fathers land."

Yes, we are all children of the universe and have a purpose for existing. Whether we know just what that purpose is does not matter.
