Cool ... least we might get a 'warning' when the pigeon/parrot dropped a 'deposit' as it flew overhead ... "look out below!" lol

Well now you might have something there. However, I think then it would be a Messenger Pigeon which I actually think is extinct these days. Now if you can find some DNA from an extinct Messenger Pigeon..hummm. Mayhaps you should consult with a bird specialist...Oh like maybe.. BIG BIRD???

well, pigeons were(maybe they still are) used as carriers. So they have an instinct of where to go and where is home. Also, you feed and take care of it, and since it doesn't know how to survive in the wild, it will come back to you.

Slight problem: interbreeding two different SPECIES--not races so cool your heels, blacks and whites--typically results in a brand new mutant species that is less developed and weaker then the two parent species.
Kinda the reason humans don't have wings, and the reason evolution doesn't work.

Great idea. Maybe I could breed my parrot with a monkey and it could take my place at work

Yes possibly. Would it then be called a 'parreon' or a pidgot'?

Most likely, it would pick up all the bad traits of both, and none of the good from either...
