it doesn't matter as long as it comes from a shelter and is good healthy condition!

We waited a while then adopted a new one from the local shelter. It didnt matter what it looked like really i dont think it does unless you have like small kids and you dont want them to know that the dog died so you say it ran away then get a replacement and say it came back

When my dog died I didn't want one for a while. A little over a year later though I noticed a dog that was the complete opposite of my my 1st dog and bought it.

No I've never done that, mainly because I always adopt mutts from the SPCA (no two alike!) Mutts are the best dogs anyway and what a dog looks like really doesn't matter it's their loyalty that makes us love them!

I waited 5 years before getting another dog after my boy passed on. I knew when I was ready to get another dog what kind I wanted, color, male, etc... and as it turns out this dog has some of my other dogs demeanor so it all has worked out.

I don't think you can replace one dog with another, that's almost like saying you can replace one child with another

After dressing it and selling it to a Korean family, we find another that is old and sufficiently fattened for quick harvesting.
