Yes there will still be some emo bands around when it dies down, just like Mudvayne, Korn, and Slipknot all survived after the nu-metal craze died down. If I had to make any predictions I would have to say Fall Out Boy, The Used, and My Chemical Romance will probably make the cut but I dont see a furute for any others, and not for talent but simply for the fanbase of 15 year old girls around the world.

AFI isn't emo, so I don't know how that started. Davey does have an emo haircut though. I think My Chemical Romance will survive because they are taking more chances with their music than other bands of that genre. They also seem to be a bit darker with the lyrics and image, though Gerard does remind me of Gary Numan a bit.

All metal bands..becasue they arent emo haha.
But to be specific i think that Slipknot will becuase they have been around for a while and have extreme talent and a huge fan base....I would know Im a Maggot.
But I think that metal will stand out in general because it has been around as all these trends have passed on since the 70's like it surpassed Disco, and now Rap, and Emo. Metal will never die and it will stand out forever.

Taking Back Sunday should stay around, they were doing the emo stuff before it was popular, and now they have an odd way with their music which is different than any other band that I've neard, so they should survive, and I sure hope Adam Lazara keeps his hair lol

no emo bands are going to atand out and actually mean anything when its all said and done. AFI is probably the best band, and they might be recognized for starting a mini-genre, but my chemicle romance is really popular, but they are just a teen emo gimmick.

AFI not bad..
but i love fall out boy, their talent in writing would probably last for another 2 or 3 albums...
I f*king love the used too. Predict that they can survive another 3albums.
So, The Used and Fall Out Boy to stand out.

I like the way you think! AFI all the way!!
They have been around for ages, they allow their music to mature as they mature as a musical group/human beings. I like the fact that they aren't afraid to do different things.
PS- one huge reason that they will stay around- they are super nice to their fans. They actually take the time to stay around afterwards and talk, sign cds and talk about tattoos, etc...
As for who else will stay around...hmmm...Dashboard has been around for awhile and he's still making music. He's not as huge as he once was, but still around.

those bands could be seen option no longer "EMO". human beings like them because of the fact in comparison to maximum song they have significant lyrics, (they do no longer communicate approximately ladies with extreme-high quality butts, autos, and money) the honestly song itself is super, proficient musicians in the band, and persons can relate to the song. this is extra then merely something to entertain human beings.
