He'll finish this season with around 765. If he signs with an
A.L. team next year as a DH, he has an outside chance at 800. One thing that will be going for him is that he might not have to miss as many games without the rigors of playing the field. Still, another 35 homers would be tough when you have to adjust to new pitchers.
If he retires after this season, the chances of him hitting 800 home runs are zero. If he plays one more year, I'd say the chances are about 10-20%

he very well could, he will probably be signed by an american league team and DH because he is a liability in the outfield. he will probably end the sason between 760-770, so 30-40 home runs in a season is not out of the question even if he is 43, but i think it would take 2 more seasons due to the fact that they never pitch to him, and adjusting to AL pitching.

If bonds retires this year, there's no chance. If he plays next year, I still don't think he'll hit 800, but it'll be close. Something like 788.

I don't know about 800 but he should get 756 by the end of July or the beginning of August.

No, he will never get to 800. He'll get around 762 or so and that will be it.

no. I think he will get 770 or about that many. He will probably play in 2008 as a pinch hitter and spot-starter.
