I personally think it's cute, but think about it from your kid's perspective: Alexis May. If said girl is in school and particularly cruel kids find out her middle name, she might get teased about it as such:
"Alexis May Explode" or stuff like that.
kids are jerks these days.
Alexis can also be used as a boy's name, though it's not very often.

I tend to resent the name Alexis. It's too popular for me, and can you honestly imagine an adult named Alexis? I really can't.
If you really like the sound of it, how about Alexa May? I prefer Alexa a lot, I think it's lovely.
For a boy, how about Mason, Diggory, Ben, Luke, and Caleb?

Alexis May is such a pretty name. The only thing is that May is getting just a little old, but dont get me wrong the name is beautiful. For a boy I would go with something that is not that common like: Landon or Kayden or(Caden, Caiden, Kaden, or Cayden)

Alexis May is adorable! I love it! For the boy and if you want the names to be similar, what about Aidan Matthew? If you don't want the names to be similar, I love Logan Matthew. Whatever names you choose, good luck and God bless!

It's pretty, but I think Alexa is a bit softer, but Alexis is nice too. And May is a classic and goes with practically any name.
