I hate both of those shows because they always make light of really serious issue. -They both should be ashamed.

South Park is way funnier, i mean i like Family Guy, but South Park makes me laugh the most.

South park is by far the funnier show, especially with the inherent flaws in recent Family Guy episodes. I used to be on the Family Guy bandwagon myself, but, about a year ago, I began to dislike the show due to it's completely random nature. The old shows used to follow a plot line, and contained several original and hilarious jokes. Now it seems that the show strives towards shock value related jokes, and random occurances which have little or nothing to do with the plot. Granted, Family Guy is still a relatively funny show, but I guess I am just picky when it comes to the evolution of television shows. It seems, at times, you can predict what's going to happen in the story prior to it's occurrence, and its plot lines are usually rip offs of old South Park or The Simpson episodes. On the other hand, South Park has only advanced in it's story telling ability and hilarity, maintaining consistency, yet also falling more toward shock value. However, this shock value is original in nature, and is usually portrayed to the audience in order to further an underlying theme or story line. Regardless, they are both funny shows, but if you are truly searching for an excellent, original cartoon series, check out Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

South Park is more topical and relevant. In my opinion it's funnier. Family Guy used to be funny but has really gone downhill the last couple seasons.

South Park.
It, at least, has a point to each episode, whereas Family Guy is just random nonsense.
Besides, Eric Cartman by himself is funnier that ALL the characters on Family Guy put together.

Hands down, it's Family Guy. It can be a little raunchy (but not as utterly disgusting as South Park), it is so cleverly written, and I almost pee my pants laughing at the absolute stupid humor of that show sometimes.
I think the writers are incredible and creative to be able to get away with some of the things they do on network t.v.

Family Guy relies on random, pointless, and completely retarded events as a form of humor. South Park isn't even that funny but it still slaughters Family Guy.
