If your cervix is high that is a possible sign that you are pregnant. However, many women get slippery, clear mucus right before their period. This is because your progesterone level can drop before your period starts (progesterone is what usually dries up your cervical mucus) and your body starts to recognize the estrogen present and produces cervical mucus. The day or two right before your period is supposed to start is typically when women do see this fertile type mucus.

Good luck!

Typically, during and in the first few days after menstruation, the cervix is fairly low and firm.
During pregnancy, the cervix will rise a bit and become softer, but the timing of this happening will vary from woman to woman. For some, this will happen shortly before their period is due, but for other, this will not happen until quite a while after their pregnancy has been confirmed.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Baby dust!!
