Oh, yes. I have an erector, singular, not plural (Thank God and genes) but I suppose it could be described as a set.

Big Jim and the Twins is my pet name, by the way.

But back to your question.

Dysfunctional? Hmmmmm. Well, that incorporates a lot of activities that are related to the erector. Kidney stones come to mind. WOW!!! THAT HURT!!!

But other that than brief episode that lasted a few days, felt like a few years, my erector set has been pretty much problem free. Of course to maintain optimum performance, certain maintenance procedures must be followed.

A daily addressing of maintenance of those needs is crucial to keep all of the parts humming along.

While it is best to take it "into the shop" the erector, and set, can well be serviced by yourself. Sometimes a hands on job can satisfy the warranty requirements.

So to answer your question: Yes, they can become dysfunctional. But with the proper care and personal attention, the problems can be minimized.

And the results maximized.

I hope this has helped.

So,I still have the limp. Just wanted to conf'festus up to that. If ya ask me that doctor was dicking me around..he was soft in the head and gave me the shaft ....

I've tinkered with those toys a bit. However, I am not equipped with a third lego, so I am probably not experienced enough to answer this. Personally...... no matter how hard I try, I can't get it up. I'm just a block head!
