The milliner is very angry 'cos the elves have not stopped using mercury to make hats, thus sending all of his customers a bit doolally. They no longer want to buy his hats, soooo he will have to get rid of some of the elves to recoup his losses, unfortunatley, he can't sack them (they have a very good union) so he has to think up imaginitive ways to 'deal with them'. It's just a big sorry mess really.

I heard the same rumor. I neighbors best friends boyfriend said that there is really nothing going on at the mill. It is just a little misunderstanding.

Oh yeah...I heard a few of the older women were sabotaging the place. As is so happens there is this beastly floor manager who keeps yelling and putting down some of the workers...but hovers over the cute young things and pops a feel when he thinks he can. The young things fear him...he has the power to hire and fire at will. The older gals keep keep watch and eye one another and one gives the okay and another goes out to pull the fire alarm the minute his attention is diverted to one of the young things. Management is going dizzy cuz they can't figure out the who and why of it all... (duh?) They are only concerned about the work stoppage and profits lost in all the confusion.
Power to the women!

There's another cat fight going on among the women and the men won't go back to work because they stopped to watch.
