The details mentioned by others answered before me will be helpful for getting to know the Berth/coach No. of your RAC ticket.

But you will get to know the seat no and coach No. only when the Final Chart is prepared which is generally displayed in the station or can be verified from the website only some 6 hrs. to 12 hrs. before the departure of the train. Since you have RAC confirmation you need not worry.-

How do RAC and Waitlists all artwork? while each and every of the available seats/berths in somebody prepare/classification have been offered, the railways initiate merchandising RAC tickets (2A, 3A, FC & SL purely), while each and every of the RAC tickets have been offered, then a waitlist is began for all the prepare instructions, and you’re offered a waitlisted fee ticket. As human beings cancel tickets, a RAC/WL fee ticket will flow closer to a shown berth. additionally, while the purely good reservation chart is waiting, any un-offered quota berths would be used to decrease the RAC/waitlist. Tickets would be offered interior here order....(4 RAC places in this occasion) available 02 available 01 RAC 01 RAC 02 RAC 03 RAC 04 WL 01 WL 02 etc... So, am i able to board the prepare? WL 10/WL 4 = remains a waitlisted fee ticket, you are able to’t board the prepare with a waitlisted fee ticket. WL 10/RAC 2 = is an RAC fee ticket, you are able to board the prepare with an RAC fee ticket yet you are able to purely get a seat fairly of a berth. (greater later) WL 10/CNF = is a shown fee ticket, you are able to board the prepare with a shown fee ticket and locate your berth.
