5w^5-1080w^2
=5w^2(w^3 - 216)
=5w^2(w^3 - 6^3)..diff of 2 cubes
= 5w^2(w-6)(w^2 + 6w + 6^2)
= 5w^2(w-6)(w^2 + 6w + 36)

5w^5 - 1080w^2

Factor the greatest common monomial.

5w^2 ( w^3 - 216)

216 is a perfect cube; it's the cube of 6.
Using the guidelines I presented in your other question:

5w^2 (w - 6)(w^2 + 6w + 36)

f(w)= 5w² (w³ - 216)
Consider w³ - 216:-
6³ - 213 = 0
Thus w - 6 is a factor of W³ - 216
To find othe factors , use synthetic division:-
6|1**0**0**-216
*****6**36**216
--------------------
**1**6**36**0
-----------------
f(w) = (w - 6) (w² + 6w + 36)
