I am an obsessed Harry Potter fan, and all I can think about lately is what will happen in The Deathly Hallows. The biggest thing I have been thinking about is the horcruxes. Okay, we KNOW that the Gaunt ring and Marvolo's diary are two of them and have both been destroyed. Then there is the locket which is suspected to have been destroyed by RAB (Regulus?) and Helga Hufflepuff's cup. It is believed that there is something from each house which leaves us in need of something from Gryffindor and something from Ravenclaw. There are seven pieces total, one f which resides in Voldemort's body. That would complete the list if there is, in fact, one item from each house. Perhaps he was unable to find something from Gryffindor so he only got the 3 houses. That leaves the possibility of Nagini. Another common theory is HP himself. Maybe Dumbledore was merely suggesting Nagini to hint that a living thing can in fact be made into a horcrux.

Your thoughts???

I am not set on it definitely being Harry or that Nagini is one...Is there really a stone missing from the sword?! That's a detail I had forgotten if so!

I am also re-reading the sixth book. I am so obsessed that reading theaories and discussings is interfering with my work!!

JKR and dumbledore confirmed that that lord voldemort never managed to sustain an object for gryffendor house- both the sword and the sorting hat remain safe in dumbledores office. this leads me to believe that he has an object or ravenclaw (perhaps the tiara or the wand?) a tiara symbolizes encasing the brain and all, and intelligence is what ravenclaws house is all about. the goblin made tiara the weasleys "happen" to have worth loads of galleons could be one. and if its in gringotts then, well look at the uk cover. or the wand, the one sitting on the purple pillow in front of olivanders shop in book 1. it would be like voldy to hide something right in front of u, seeing as that's the last place u would look. but again, it is a trust issue. would voldemort trust that his horcrux remains safe? yes if olivander is evil but i dont see that being a huge point. anywho- i think harry could have accidentally been made a horcrux himself. we can only know for sure in 7 days...=D

You've got it pretty much figured out. Voldemort sliced his soul into 7ths, and one had to remain with him, so that leaves 6 horcruxes total. Three have been destoyed (Gaunt's ring, Riddle's diary, and the locket destroyed by the mysterious R.A.B.) So we're left with 3 now. We know one is Hufflepuff's cup, and the other is Voldemort's familiar, Nagini (which is why Harry was able to "see" through the snake's eyes at times -- that cosmic connection with Voldemort's soul he received when Voldy tried to kill him as an infant). So we're left with only one unaccounted for, some relic of Geoderic Gryffindor's. What could it be? I haven't a clue. I suppose there has to be some mystery left for the last book, don't you think?

Have you ever thought of Voldemort creating 8 horcruxes without wanting it?
Theory: He had already created 5 plus 1-himself when he went to GODRIC´s hollow to kill Harry and to create his last horcrux with some famous thing of GODRIC Griffindor´s. Then it all went wrong and he made the last horcrux with Harry´s scar without wanting or knowing it. And later he made an 8th horcrux with the snake Nagini.... And that could possible be the reason why Harry can defeat him at last, not the powerful magic number 7, but 8...

Yeah he was. but the thing that I don't understand is that........... Ok Look Dumbledore said that Voldemort cannot kill another person becuz then he would b a 8-part soul and it is not as powerful as the number 7 so if Voldemort kills Harry - HE WON"T B POWERFUL ANYMORE (well yeah but not as much as b4) but then the thing is since 2 horcruxes(maybe 3) have been destroyed, does that make him a 5 or 4 part soul? bcuz if it does then he has to kill 2 or 3 more people - no better said 1-2 and spare 1 4 harry I dont think i answered ur question very well bcuz i dont understand what u asked but i hoe this was a good discussion! send me a message for further info

Ok. 1- The blood in Voldemort has Harry's mother's love in it, so, if Voldemort were to kill Harry, then the bond between them because of his mothers love bonded them, so when he kills Harry he kills himself(the love that runs in their vains). But the Horcrux is completely different. Tio create a horcrux is to create evil not love, so if Harry died without a struggle, then he was dying for the people he loved. So it backfired and Voldemort died. Then we get into the wand aspect, but you didn't ask about that so I won't tell. 2- I really don't know about it being revealed in book 4, but in book 7,6, and 5 it shows. Like in book 6 Tonks sends her patronus to Dumbledore, or Snape and that is were I remember it the most. And kingsley at t hte wedding in book 7. 3- I really don't know about any websites but Livejournal probably has tons. Love to help, Phapalla

My goodness! You have the same thoughts as me! I was jsut thinking the same...I though harry or his scar could be a horcrux! But also, what about the sword that harry killed the basilc(ugh can't spell!) with in the 2nd book? Its from the gryfindor house! And from ravenclaw...ugh I had something a while back but can't remember it now. Sorry. =[ but i'm reading the book again before the 7th one comes out and if i see anything or think of anything I'll give you my opinion! =D

some part of me thinks HP might be a Horcrux, but i'm also not sure. Voldemort wants to kill HP and if Harry is a Horcrux, then Volde is also destroying part of his soul. maybe he wouldnt care, but i dont think he would do that. Nagini makes sense but could be too obvious.
also i'm glad you think that RAB might be Regulus. that is what i believe. Sirius said he was killed by death eaters following Voldemorts orders. so maybe Volde thought Regulus was learning too much and had him killed...
just a thought anyway

I just thought of this, What if Neville is a horcrux, since their birthdays are close to each other, Voldemort thought Harry was the stronger wizard, but he made Neville a horcrux, Harry will have to kill Voldemort and Neville.

I've always thought there might be a connection with the missing horocrux and the special hair that is in the wands of both Voldemort and Harry.

I can't remember, but maybe you can check. Isn't there a stone missing from the Gryffindor sword hilt?
