I would because of the fact that if the Yankees extend his current deal, the Rangers still have to pay $81 million towards his salary. The Yanks can afford to throw some extra money his way and still be (stiffling a laugh here) economical. Plus, can you imagine how bad they would be if they didn't have him?

Definitely. You will recoup your money on season tickets, merchandising, etc. He will make a run at several of the all-time records for HR, RBIs. He is a soap opera waiting to happen and he makes your lineup formidable. Imagine if he ever gets to a WS and performs great. In today's market you have to sign him.

I would if he could make me more than $30 million, which he would do each year for almost any team that would take him.

If that's the price you have to pay to get him, then yes. I know it's ridiculous but the guy is elite and he will probably continue to be. He is not worth 30 million per se, but, he is in the current MLB market. It's nuts but man, he will certainly earn his keep. Just look at his stats over his career and this season.

ARod is the best player in baseball. HE sets the market, period. If ARod decides he's worth 30 mill, done, that's it, final. And Yes I would , considering baseball has no salary cap.

for the best player in the game, sure.

in addition, he brings in star power that translates to more fans showing up to games, larger revenue in team merchandise and he can also attract other stars to come play for your team.

the benefits justify the large salary. the haters will say otherwise, but they know the truth.
