Most Republicans don't know jack about Fred Thompson but he is the front runner because he is an "Actor". They elected Arnold the "Governator" in Cali and he turned out to be a liberal. They loved Ronald Reagan because he could give a good speech and looked pretty good. They elected Jessie "The Body" Ventura in Minnesota a few years ago. Then you have other celebs like former Oklahoma star QB J C Watts, Tom Osborne the former Nebraska head coach and Steve Largent the hall of fame wide out from Seattle. They'll elect spoil rich brats like George W and Jeb Bush too. Then want Paris Hilton’s head on a platter when George W and his daughters made the same mistakes as Paris. My question is do you believe Republicans love Celebs so much that they elect them into office Strictly from name recognition? Who is Mitt Romney anyway? I actually heard a Republican strategist say he's a good candidate because he "LOOKS" like a President. I'm not trying to start a fight. I just noticed how hypocritical this is

I know Democrats do the same things too. The difference is Republicans act is if Hollywood and Celebs are no good liberals. My question is if they are no good liberals why are the Republicans so quick to elect one as soon as they say they are Republicans? Do they secretly admire Liberal? Why don’t they elect a self made guy like Jimmy Carter was back in the day? Maybe they can elect a farmer who worked his way up to millionaire or billionaire status or a business owner. Maybe they can elect a former Army general or a PHD. Most republican leaders are either from the oil and gas industry or they are celebs with big names. This makes them hypocrites to me in many ways.

I don't see anything wrong with electing celebs. Both parties will elect a celeb. My problem is when Republicans (Fox News) come back bash Hollywood after they pick one of them because they are tied to Hollywood.

They've always been under the absolute sway of Hollywood. Just look at the record: Reagan, Arnold Katzenjammer, Sonny Bono, Fred Grandy (Gopher on Love Boat, for Pete's sake!). They should have learned their lesson from these dunces.

The Mormons believe we all lived in Heaven with Heavenly Father, several Heavenly Mothers, and 20 Billion Heavenly Siblings before we were born here on Earth. Then there was a war. The good guys won and were born White. The bad guys lost and became demons. Those who were neutral or did not fight bravely were born with non-white skin. The bravest of the brave were born to Mormon families.

We all know that Romney must have been a "Valliant Warrior" in the "War in Heaven" during the "Pre-Existence". How else could he have been born "White and Delightsome" to an LDS family here on Earth? Heck, he was probably one of the Commanding Generals . Now , America needs a President with valuable military experience like that to get us through our war in Iraq. Could you please ask "The One and Only True Prophet", Gordon Hinkley, to please release those valuable records to the public? We need to know what battles he fought in. How many medals he won. How many of the "Less Valliant Soldiers" he recommended being born with black skin when they got their chance to be born on Earth. Was Al Sharpton one of THEM ? How about Jesse Jackson? Mormons, this is your chance to show the world the light of the everlasting gospel. Dont miss out. We have General Romney running for president of the USA and we need you badly right now!

They continuously contradict themselves & it is merely a sort of issues. They placed down Hollywood however the final human beings they are able to get are from Hollywood. They placed out that advert against Obama asserting he became into like Paris Hilton & Brittney Spears whilst the only dumb blonde who never labored an afternoon in her existence that resembled them became into no longer Barack Obama even though it became into Cindy McCain. i ought to bypass on yet won't situation.

As a husker Tom Osborne is not a celeb in that state. He is above that. The man could have eaten live puppies on stage and still got into office.

Go Big Red!

Just like last election when they said Kery and Edwards looked like presidents. There are not any liberal rich brats running?

Everyone running has money, republicans normally would like to elect a self made man.

Thompson is thought to be a true conservative. Reagan was our greatest president. The rest of your question is childish and makes no sense. You need to grow up and learn before you ask silly questions
FOX "bashes" liberals because they are silly , make no sense, and deserve being made fun of.

you have it wrong. why don't democratic actors and people in sports run for office. are they greedy and don't want to give back to the country?

Kennedy's don't count? they win on name recognition.
the idot from r.i, joe jr from ma. and treasurer no relation won in ma. katileen/md bobby (carpetbagger) from ny. jon john would have won in ny or ma. if he ran.
