Considering a lot of people have really ugly feet, I'd have to say yes, shoes do help to make ones feet look better.

I have no idea i just know they are better off at home & better on out lol
some shoes can look quite nice on women the strappy & high heeled ones look very sexy i think but still no good for the feet

For women...they are designed to make you legs look better. I still prefer bare feet anyway.
