Christian views are simply this. Life is either sacred or it is not. If it is, preserve it at all costs. If it is not, we might as well destroy it at will. It is terribly expensive to keep the sick alive and wholly impractical to prolong the life of an ill person who will die anyway.
No civilized person or society, however, considers expense and practicality to be more important than goodness and humanity. If it did, it would immediately wipe out, for example, drug addicts, the homeless and people with AIDS.
There are those that try to define an unborn baby by calling it a fetus or zygote but the fact remains that it is life. A life whose sex can be determined even before implantation, a life which at 17 days has its own blood cells, which two days later is developing eyes and the day after has an entire nervous system established.
A life that at 28 days is forming arms and legs, at 30 days is developing ears and nose and at 49 days is a miniature person with complete fingers and toes.
So convinced is society now that this is a genuine life that in Britain some pro-abortion doctors want anesthetic to be administered to unborn babies before the procedure.
This has nothing to do with so-called unwanted babies. There are legions of couples who want to adopt children. Even if there weren't, we still do not have the right to take an innocent life simply because we are larger and more powerful. That is the style of the thug and the fascist.

Generally, most Christians agree that murder is a sin, and that abortion is a form of murder (the killing of another human being).
Most Christians agree that life begins at conception, that is, when an egg and sperm unite to form a new and unique human being. Most also agree that life ought to continue until natural death, which would mean that murder, abortion and euthanasia are all sins.
However there is a great variance in Christian doctrine between the multitude of denominations, so it's impossible to say "ALL " Christians agree on anything other than that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Me, I'm a Catholic Christian, and I believe that abortion is always wrong, even in the cases of rape and incest because it forces the innocent child to pay for the father's crime with his/her life. I believe that rape and incest victims who become pregnant should receive support and gentle care so that they can carry the baby to term and make something GOOD come out of evil. In the cases of when a mother's life is in danger, a C-section can almost always save both the mother's life and the baby. The only exception is tubal pregnancies, which the baby can't survive in any way, and surgery is warranted to protect the mother's health.
This view is considered "extreme" by many Christians. There are many who make exceptions for rape/incest victims (which I think is weird because it's like they think that the unborn baby is human in every case EXCEPT if the father was a rapist --?!?!?). So you see, it's really complicated.

Well, according to God (it's written in the Bible) a baby is the most precious gift that can be given to any human being. So, obviously He sees abortion as immoral and unjust, murder essentially.
A Christian may or may not share the same beliefs, though most do. Just because the baby isn't outside of the womb does not mean it isn't a person. Would you kill a kitten inside of its mother's womb? Would you purposefully crush a bird's egg before it has hatched? Christians mostly believe that a baby is a person, it has a soul, from the time of conception. Therefore, killing that innocent being before it is given a real chance at life is considered murder. It is one of the most horrible things a human being can do. Murder is one thing, but murder of an innocent child is horrendous.

The Catholic view on abortion is that this is a sin because of the fact it is an act of homicide. Even the unborn new child is already in the international, with a human soul and made in the image and likeness of God. easily, you ask for a lot of wisdom, that's perplexing to grant in this small area. Catholic theology with regard to the human person is fundamental to our awareness on abortion, besides as all the existence difficulty. we at the instant are not "Bible merely" Christians. I advise you look at the part of the recent Catechism that provides the Church's coaching on the human person. I comprise the link decrease than.

Depends on what Christian you ask. There is no single, official Christian view. I, for one, am a Christian, and I am opposed to abortion except under extreme cases, such as rape, incest, young-teen pregnancy, or danger to the mother. Otherwise, abortion becomes a dangerous and unnecessary form of birth control that eliminates any need for responsible action. That said, there are many Christians who oppose abortion under any circumstances, and there are even a few that think abortion is ok. But you'll mostly only get the extreme cases here.

all forms of christianity are against abortion. a baby is looked at as a gift from god and to abort it for any reason is looked at as murder. some denominations are a little more stern on the matter than others but in all denominations in is a sin.

It depends alot of Christians say absolutlyno to abortions, however, I am a Christian and I believe in Woman's choice. If you are not sure what that means Its that I believe every woman should be able to choose to abort the baby or not depending on her life and her situation and her choices and no one should get to criticize her for that. Look it up or read the bible on't depend on the people on here
Best of Luck though

2 Chronicles 28:3
"He offered sacrifices in the valley of Ben-Hiinnom, even sacrificing his owns sons in the fire. In this way, he followed the destestable practices of the pagan nations the Lord had driven from the land ahead of the Israelites."
Translation - Even today the practice isnt abated. The sacrifice of children to the harsh gods of convenience, economy, and whim continues. If we are to allow children to come to Christ (Matthew 19:14) we must first allow them to come into the world.
Im against it. :)

Just so you know, you don't have to be Christian to believe abortion is wrong. And just because you're a Christian doesn't mean you can't believe in abortion.
